COSTA RICA WEDDING & ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
A breathtaking elopement adventure framed by rainforest, waterfalls, and pure love in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
There’s something truly magical about escaping to nature to celebrate love—especially when it happens in one of the most unique places in Costa Rica: Rio Perdido Eco-Lodge in Guanacaste.
Samuel and Xavier’s elopement was the perfect mix of adventure, intimacy, and romance.
We met them at Rio Perdido Resort, a boutique adults-only hotel hidden in a private forest reserve. The property is surrounded by lush vegetation, geothermal rivers, hanging bridges, and scenic trails. It’s the perfect place to start the morning of your Costa Rica elopement, whether you’re getting ready in your cozy bungalow or exploring the rainforest paths hand in hand.
That day, the weather couldn’t have been better. August in Costa Rica can bring a bit of rain, but we were blessed with the most perfect light. After capturing their getting-ready moments and a peaceful walk through the forest, we headed toward one of Guanacaste’s most stunning natural spots—Llanos de Cortés Waterfall.
Only about 45 minutes from the resort, Llanos de Cortés is a wide, tranquil waterfall cascading over a moss-covered rock wall into a refreshing natural pool. We arrived late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and we couldn’t believe it: we had the entire waterfall to ourselves!
Samuel and Xavier exchanged their vows in front of the majestic waterfall, surrounded by the sound of water and the vibrant green jungle. It was emotional, intimate, and incredibly special—yes, I may have shed a few tears behind the camera!
After their vows, we continued with portraits around the waterfall and forest. The light was golden, the atmosphere peaceful, and everything felt timeless. To finish their adventure, the couple decided to jump into the water—laughing, splashing, and living the moment to the fullest. It was pure joy. We ended the day with a joyful toast, hearts happy and cameras packed with memories!!!
If you’re dreaming about a Costa Rica elopement that’s full of nature, adventure, and privacy, Rio Perdido Resort and Llanos de Cortes Waterfall are the perfect combination. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a romantic getaway, this part of Guanacaste offers everything—from luxury stays to breathtaking landscapes.
